This study is to analyze design characteristics of images for the hair style of 20s~30s's men shown on TV dramas. For this, relevant documents are collected and analyzed through previous studies. And to analyze each technical characteristic and application when applying hair style of men's hair-cut, characters of TV dramas are selected, and relation between design characteristics and technical ones of hair-cut for men at 20s∼30s is studied and the results are as follows. First, hair-cut technique favored by men at the age of 20s∼30s adopts mainly straight type, which could be found in hair design's images of form. And this technique makes it possible to create easily modern and geometric styles due to combinations of various straights. Second, cut technique using a clipper could make more sophisticated hairline and hair contours than a comb-using cut but excessive use of clipper for short-hair tends to show a cutting surface that gives too schematic feeling and hair contours are not also smooth because the connection among each cut-end depends heavily on straight line. Besides, clipper-cut by the connection of straight seems not enough for the middle aged who need the image of gentle hair contours and volume, and their hair concept shows as a whole the feeling of rigidity and sharpness and the image of modern hair design is strongly expressed. Hair cut techniques of straight and curve have both strength and weakness each other, the strength that male hair-cut by straight has is that its straight connectioncan express outstanding design sense and geometric hair-cut, which creates various and creative hair design styles and satisfies hair styles of men.
