Reading management is a topic to be discussed amongst enterprises, which is recognized for securing the core knowledge of business and as a procedure that maximizes productivity in the staff. Reading is the core element in reading management that it can be concluded that reading in adults is the first consideration in researches on reading for its effectiveness. Therefore this study has inquired into employees' behavior of reading and analyzed their motive, inclination for reading as well as the current state of reading management by targeting the employees on the job in the hope of finding the course that lead to smooth reading management by looking at downside in their way of reading. First of all, an investigation was undertaken to see for what purpose they were reading to find the method that could maximize their craving for reading yet elevating their individual talent. Problems were also deduced by researching for objectives and methods for existing reading management and what is required for effective reading management. The employees mainly in charge of computing task at H Company's daughter firm located in Seoul were chosen as the subject on which a survey was conducted regarding their way, purpose and factors for lack of reading, As the result of the survey, the employees were shown to have various motives for reading and discovered the need for selecting various genres when it comes to reading management. It was known that there is lack of motivation for reading as can be seen from their response that they have trouble finding time to read. There was an urgent necessity for arrangements of an atmosphere for spontaneous reading that could impart motivation to employees when reading management is to be put into operation within their company. Therefore the study has made a proposal as to custom-made reading management that will satisfy the cravings of individuals; in addition, there is a need for teachings on strategic reading for those who never encountered the proper method of reading. Reading mentor is the key to solving the problem including volume selection, strategic reading and discussion about reading.The phrase "reading for management" should be corrected as "management for reading"in order for reading management to become effective knowledge management. Hence guidance teachers are necessary who can serve as mentors and the guidance should also be extended to encompass adults.
