Discussion is one of a communicating way to solve conflicts between people. It goes with counter-arguments and questions that are possible only after the speeches are listened and the speeches are my opinion and others’ arguments on the subject. There are some bad cases in programs on mass communications and in debate contests. Those are, the people in a discussion does not listen the others carefully only insisting on his own points, more even, does not listen completely anything whatever the others speak. In case that discussion is not one-way speaking, listening process is essential and on listening it becomes possible to understand the others. In other words, listening training is necessary for us to educate more debaters democratic and open-minded who accept the others‘ opinion. Therefore, listening training has not to be neglected in a discussion classes anymore. Listening works as an active cognitive process, while a listener recognize it with very active selection. It means that effective listening ways are achieved by being guided how to listen. Hereby listening activities are proposed in discussion classes as communicating ways in real. And based on the proposal, I consider how to enhance listening ability by applying some activities in real classes. Now, listening activities are presented in steps of pre-during-post of a discussion as considering listening ways and strategies of guiding them and as referring listening activities and guide-lines for training it in contemporary elementary schools. With these activities proposed, possibility of use, problems and supplementation of them are considered by applying them for real.
