본 연구는 어머니의 양육효능감이 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 긍정정서의 매개적 역할을 규명함으로써 어머니의 양육스트레스를 감소시키기 위한 방안을 마련하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산광역시 소재 어린이집의 1개월~36개월 영아 257명의 어머니였으며, 수집 된 자료는 SPSS18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 상관관계분석, Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 회귀분석을 이 용한 3단계 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 어머니의 양육효능감과 긍정정서는 정적상관이 있었으며, 양육효능감 및 긍정정서와 양육스트레스는 부적상관이 있었다. 또한 양육효능감은 긍정정 서를 매개로 하여 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 어머니의 양육효능감과 긍정 정서를 증진하고자 하는 노력이 어머니의 양육스트레스를 감소하는데 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating role of positive emotion on the relationship between parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress of mothers. The study surveyed 257 mothers of one to thirty six months old children from seventeen child care centers in Busan, Korea. We performed the regression analysis and the Baron and Kenny’s three phase mediated regression analysis on the collected data using SPSS18.0. The regression analysis revealed the positive correlation between parenting self-efficacy and positive emotion and the negative correlation between positive emotion and parenting stress of mothers. The mediated regression analysis found that the positive emotion is a significant mediator between parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress. These results imply that the intervention to improve mother’s parenting self-efficacy and positive emotion may have significant positive effects on reducing the parenting stress of mothers.
