The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the structured group sandplay therapy program for
improving self-perception and ego-resilience of children. In order to find out whether the structured group
sandplay therapy program is effective or not, pre-and-post tests were carried out. Conducted examinations were
questionnaire and projective test; self-perception scale, ego-resilience scale for questionnaire and K-HTP test and
‘Person in the Rain’ test for projective test. To promote subjects\' self-perception and ego-resilience, structured
group sand play therapy which provided related topics at each session was performed. The results of this
research based on the above procedure are as follows: First, the structured group sandplay therapy program
improves children\'s self-perception. Additionally, the analysis result of K-HTP test showed that after conducting
the program, there was a positive change in self-perception factor. Second, structured group sandplay therapy
program improves the ego-resilience of children. Also after the program, there was positive change in
ego-resilience factor from the result of the ‘Person in the Rain’ test. In a comprehensive conclusion of the
above, this study shows that the structured group sandplay therapy program is effective in promoting children\'s
self-perception and ego-resilience.
