This study seeks to find out effects of group art therapy on acculturative stress of married migrant
women. 12 women who were chosen as study subjects were divided into the control group and the
experimental group, receiving 12 group art therapy sessions, 90 minutes per session. Acculturative Stress
Scale and PITR were employed in preliminary examination and post examination. The results are: First, the
experimental group experienced meaningful decrease in acculturative stress. Second, according to PITR, the
experimental group experienced meaningful decrease in stress and meaningful improvement in stress-coping
ability. As a result, group art therapy reduced acculturative stress and improved stress-coping ability of
married migrant women.
