The aims of this study is to suggest measures for stimulating employment of older people with disabilities by analyzing determinants that affect their employment. For this study, the third panel survey materials on employment of people with disabilities were utilized and employment status and effects on employment were analyzed targeting people with disabilities aged 55 and older among panel surveyees. In the process, characteristics between older people with disabilities aged 55 and non-oldery people with disabilities aged younger than 55 were compared. Among older people with disabilities, aging with disability and disability with aging were distinguished and analyzed. According to the result of analysis, older people with disabilities were found to be affected by convenience aspects such as difficulty in mobility, existence of a helper, and so on, compared to non-older people with disabilities. In addition, aging with disabilities are more influenced by various factors in employment than disabilities with aging. In particular, the aging with disabilities was found to be affected meaningfully by convenience-related factors. Based on the analysis, this study suggested the necessity to expand convenient facilities for mobility, eliminate discrimination in the labor market, prepare institutional foundation for improving labor capacity, and introduce educational and vocational training system for elderly people with disabilities according to stages of the life cycle.
