이 연구는 장애학생의 의사소통기능 향상을 위한 국내 보완 ․ 대체의사소통 활용 연구를 알아보 고자 2001년부터 2012년까지의 학술지 논문 35편을 분석하였다. 분석논문은 게재연도별, 학술지별, 연구대상(장애유형, 선별준거), 중재방법(중재장소, 중재자, 중재시간), 중재전략(종속변인, AAC 사 용 기술, AAC 활용분석) 등으로 구분해 알아보았으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애유형은 정신지체, 검사 도구는 그림어휘력 검사의 빈도가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 중재방법에서 중재장소는 미 제시, 중재자는 연구자, 중재 시간은 10～19분, 30～39분의 빈도가 가장 높았다. 셋째, 종속변인 요 구하기, AAC사용 기술은 선택하기, AAC 활용 결과는 의사소통판의 사용빈도가 가장 높았다. 이 연구는 장애학생의 의사소통기능 향상을 위한 국내 보완 ․ 대체의사소통 연구를 고찰하였으며, 이 를 시작으로 향후 AAC를 활용한 연구의 방향을 제시했다는데 의의가 있다. 그러나 이 연구에서는 학술지 연구만을 대상으로 분석하였기 때문에 추후 연구에서는 학위 논문을 포함한 후속 연구가 필요하며, 양적연구뿐만 아니라 질적 연구도 함께 이루어져야 할 것이다.
In this study, 35 journal articles published between 2001 and 2012 were analyzed to examine the studies conducted nationwide on the use of augmentative and alternative communication to improve the communication skills of students with disabilities. The articles were classified by year of publication, journal, subject, mediation method, and mediation strategy, and the results were as follows: Firstly, the most common type of disability was mental retardation and the most frequently used testing tool was the pictorial test of intelligence. Secondly, the most common place of mediation was ‘not suggested’, the most common mediator was a researcher, the most common mediation times were a period of 10 to 19 minutes and a period of 30 to 39 minutes. Thirdly, dependent variables were mostly required, selection was most frequently used as an AAC technique, and communication boards were most frequently used for AAC. This study examined national research on augmentative and alternative communication to improve the communication skills of students with disabilities and suggested a direction for future studies using AAC.
