We expect changes in the mathematics classrooms of the future. In this study, the literature concerning the future classroom and mathematics classroom was analysed and development levels of the future mathematics classroom were suggested. The teachers\' recognition of the changes in the future mathematics classroom was investigated. Teachers responded that mathematics classrooms were needed, agreed with the development levels of the future mathematics classroom, and responded concerning what was used at the present and what would be needed in the future in the mathematics classroom. Teachers also indicated the problems associated with the present mathematics classroom and imagined the future mathematics classroom. This study discusses, therefore, the nature of the future mathematics classroom. The mathematics classroom must be the space that facilitates interactions between the students, has technological systems, and is a place where students study self-directively and experience an augmented reality.
