본고는 기존의 한자 학습방식에서 탈피하여, 漢字가 중국 역사문화의 ‘활화석’이라는 사실에서 출 발하여 漢字가 담아내고 있는 중국의 문화적 내용을 소개함으로써 학습자들로 하여금 漢字를 쉽고도 재 미있게 이해시키는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 방안은 학습자들의 한자에 대한 흥미를 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 중국인의 사유방식과 사상, 그리고 문화를 이해하는데 있어서 ‘漢字’라는 새로운 ‘시각’을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 그 결과 나날이 증가되는 다각도의 대중관계에서 중국인의 사고 방식과 문화에 대한 보다 심도 있는 이해를 하도록 도울 뿐만 아니라, 최근 국내외적으로 외국어교육에 서 관심을 모으고 있는 문화교육의 한 방법으로 ‘漢字’교육을 제시해 보고자 하는데 목적을 둔다.
With increasingly interests to \'China\' in global economy, high demand for \'learning China\', it is important to provide foreign students with an efficient methodology to educate themselves China and Chinese culture. Educators often confronted with the task of understanding Chinese unique culture or different aspects of their thought. The ability to understand and communicate with Chinese by the sense of identity is very important. This research presents a new methodology that includes the Chinese characters for an education of Chinese culture. The methodology here incorporates the Chinese characters education, which the Chinese characters represents unique aspect of Chinese culture. For Chinese as well as foreigners who are studying China, the Chinese characters are an important window to see China and her culture for their profound meanings, uniqueness, and long lasting history along with Chinese. The suggested approach and its objective is an education for the Chinese characters that is useful for understanding Chinese ways of thinking, their thought and culture. The benefits of this methodology are demonstrated in a case study from the Chinese women.
