본 연구는 사회적으로 관심의 대상이 되지 못하고 있는 직업군인들을 대상으로 경제적 스트레스가 아 내폭력에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고, 이 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 전 국의 공군 부대를 직접 방문하여 기혼인 장교와 부사관 340명을 조사하였으며, 응답이 불성실한 8부를 제외한 332부를 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 직업군인들의 경제적 스트레스는 장기적인 경기 침체로 인해 실질적으로 체감하는 스트레스 정도가 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조사대 상자 중 34.9%는 지난 1년간 아내에게 언어적폭력을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 16.6%는 배우자에게 신체적폭력을 가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구모형을 검증한 결과 직업군인의 경제적 스트레스가 아 내폭력에 정적인 방향으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 매개변인인 우울은 완전매개효과 를 보여주었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 직업군인들의 아내폭력 문제에 대해 효과적으로 개입하고 예방하는 함의를 제시하고자 한다.
The Purpose of this study is to verify the impacts of economic stress among occupational military personnels on the intimate partner violence(IPV), and the mediating effects of depression among them. For this study, 332 occupational military personnels were surveyed from Air Force Units. The results of this study are as follows: First, owing to the long period of economic recession, the economic stress which occupational military personnels subjectively perceive was high. Second, 34.9 per cent of the subjects inflict verbal aggression against their wives and 16.6 per cent of the subjects batter their wives during past 12 months. Third, the economic stress of the surveyed impacts on the IPV positively, depression mediates the relation from economic stress to IPV as well. Based on these findings, implications to prevent and intervene in the IPV of occupational military personnels are suggested.
