이 연구에서는 빛의 반사, 굴절, 횡파와 종파 개념에 대한 1:1 대응 관계를 이용한 비유 만들기 학습 자료를 개발하고 중학생들에게 적용하여 학생들이 만든 비유물과 빛과 파동 개념의 대응 유 형을 분석하였다. 중학교 2학년 학생 100명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과, 빛의 반사 현상에 대해 서는 비유 만들기 수업반과 일반 수업반의 적절한 대응 비유의 비율에 차이가 나지 않았다. 빛의 굴절, 횡파, 종파 현상에 대해서는 비유 만들기 수업반이 일반 수업반보다 적절한 대응으로 비유물 을 만든 학생의 비율이 높았다. 일대일 대응 관계를 명시한 비유 만들기 학습 자료는 목표물과 비 유물의 적절한 대응을 하는데 도움을 준다고 판단된다. 또한 비유 만들기 활동의 효과가 목표 개념 의 특성에 따라 다르게 나타나는 것으로 보인다. 이 연구의 결과는 비유 만들기 학습 자료 개발에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
In this study, we developed learning materials for generating analogies using one to one mapping relationships concerning the reflection and refraction of light, and transverse and longitudinal waves. The purpose of this study was to analyze the mapping types of the analogies generated by middle school students. One hundred second-grade middle school students participated in this study. In the analyses of the results, there was no significant difference between the percentages of students who produced the correct analogies between the analogy generation classes and general classes for the concepts related to the reflection of light. The class using learning materials for the generation of analogies had more correct mappings of the concepts for the refraction of light, and transverse and longitudinal waves. Therefore, student mapping errors were reduced through the guided activities that elucidated the discordance between analogies and target concepts. The effects of the generating analogies activities depended on the characteristics of target concepts. The results of this study could offer implications concerning the development of analogy-learning materials.
