The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between satisfaction in exercising, group cohesion and tendency of
sports jealousy in the kind of sports and the gender for athletes. Therefore, the surveys were conducted for 314 athletes in the
10 events by applying index of sports jealousy, group cohesion, and satisfaction in exercising. MANOVA was implemented in
order to investigate the group differences in gender and in the kind of sports after acquiring validity and reliability based on
the collected data. Moreover, the multiple regression analysis was conducted in order to investigate the causal relation
between the sub factors in gender and in the kind of sports. The result showed the differences of individual-task,
integration-task and individual jealousy in gender, and the differences between individual events and group events in the
cohesion of integration-task, of individual-task, and of individual jealousy. Moreover, sports jealousy in gender and in the kind
of sports affected the sub factors of group cohesion and no satisfaction in exercising. Finally, a part of sub-factors of group
cohesion affected satisfaction in exercising. According to the result of the research, index of sports jealousy as for domestic
circumstance should be developed, and the investigation of the relevancy of a variety of sports psychology factors should be
needed.
