본 연구는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder: ADHD)의 주요문제 인 부주의, 충동성, 과잉행동과 같은 결함과 관련된 전전두엽 실행기능 향상을 위해 작업기 억 재활 훈련용 소프트웨어를 개발하여, ADHD아동에게 컴퓨터보조수업(Computer Assisted Instruction: CAI)기법을 적용함으로써 개발한 소프트웨어의 효과성을 검증하였다. 실험은 3명 의 ADHD아동을 대상으로 대상자간 중다기초선 설계인 단일대상연구법으로 주 2회씩 22회 기로 약 3개월 가량 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 작업기억능력 중 숫자거꾸로따라하기와 비단어 따라말하기 등이 향상되었고, Kim's 전두엽-관리기능 신경심리검사에서 대상자의 전전두엽 관리기능이 활성화되었음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 이러한 결과는 ADHD아동의 전 전두엽 실행기능 향상을 위해 개발한 훈련용 소프트웨어가 작업기억훈련에 효과적임을 보여 준 것이다.
This study proposes that development of working memory training software is able to enhance pre-frontal lobe executive function in connection with inattention, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity for children with ADHD. In addition, we have studied the effectiveness of the developed software using CAI(computer assisted instruction) method. The method of study was single-subject research of multiple baselines across the subject design for three children with ADHD. The result of this study is that the developed software verifies executive function improvement of pre-frontal lobe for children with ADHD by Kim's Frontal-Executive Neuropsychological test. It also verifies working memory by backward digit backword and nonword repetition test. These results, derived from CAI-trained computerized programs, would be effective in helping children with ADHD.
