본 연구는 인문계 고등학생의 입시스트레스, 우울 및 자살생각과 빗속의 사람그림검사에서 나타나는 반응특 성이 상관관계를 나타내는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울의 남․여 고등학교 1․2학년 205명이며, 측정도구는 입시스트레스척도, 우울척도, 자살생각 척도와 ‘빗속의 사람(PITR)’ 그림검사이다. t 검증과 상관분석 을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 우울 및 PITR 그림검사 반응특성은 유의미한 차이를 나타냈 으며, 입시스트레스와 자살생각은 유의미한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 둘째, PITR그림검사에서 나타난 스트레스 반응특성과 입시스트레스와 우울, 자살생각 간에는 거의 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 하위영역 중 비 젖음은 입시스트레스, 우울, 자살생각과, 비접촉은 입시스트레스 및 우울과, 웅덩이 접촉은 우울 및 자살생각과 매우 낮은 정적상관만을 보였다. 셋째, PITR 그림검사에서 나타난 스트레스 대처자원 반응특성과 입시스트레스, 우울, 자살생각 간에 거의 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 하위영역 중 우산, 얼굴표정, 보호물 적절성은 자 살생각과, 얼굴표정은 우울과 매우 낮은 부적상관만을 보였다.
This study investigated the correlation of high school students' stress from college-bound study, depression and suicidal thoughts with their Person-in-the-Rain (PITR) drawings. The participants were 205 first or second year high school students attending high schools in the city of Seoul. The instruments included a scale measuring their stress from college-bound study, a depression scale, a suicidal thoughts scale, and the Person-in-the-Rain (PITR) drawing test. Data were analyzed using a t-test and correlation analysis. First while there were significant gender differences between the depression and the PITR drawings, no significant differences were found between the stress from college-bound study and suicidal thoughts. Second, the PITR drawings showed little correlation with the variables including the stress from college-bound study, depression, and suicidal thoughts. The subcategory, getting wet by rain showed a very low positive correlation with the stress from college-bound study, depression and suicidal thoughts. The subcategory, non-contact showed a very low positive correlation with the stress from college-bound study and depression. Contact with a puddle also showed a very low positive correlation with depression and suicidal thoughts. Third, the alternative means of stress handling found in PITR drawings showed no correlation with the stress from college-bound study, depression, and suicidal thoughts. The subcategories such as umbrella, facial expressions, and the properness of protective means showed a very low negative correlation with suicidal thoughts. Facial expressions also showed a very low negative correlation with depression.
