This study is trying to discover the factors that affect consumer impressions of the show hosts, and how these impressions affect their attitudes towards the show and intention to buy products.
The following was the main results of the research. First, the factor analysis showed that the degree of impression of the show hosts was composed of six factors: 'trust', 'vividness', 'similarity', 'glamour', 'familiarity' and 'expertness' factor. Second, Multiple Regression Analysis was made to analyze the relationship between the degree of impression of the show hosts and the consumer's attitude towards the TV home shopping program. With this factor analysis, five factors, such as 'familiarity', 'vividness', 'similarity', 'glamour', and 'expertness' factor, showed influences on the consumer's intention to buy products. Third, the analysis also found that three factors, such as 'familiarity', 'glamour' and 'expertness' factor, showed an influence on the consumer's intention to buy products.
