대학별고사 입시체제에서의 대입선발지표인 고교내신, 수학능력시험, 본고사의 예측타당성 (predictive validity)을 대학에서의 학업성취도를 통하여 검토하고자 하는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다. 분석대상은 고려대학교 1994, 95년도 안암캠퍼스 일반전형 입학생의 입시자료 및 1994, 95년도 평균평점(GPA) 자료이다.
The predictive validity of three admission indices, HSG(High School Grade), SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test) and MEE(Main Entrance Exam), was evaluated by an ANCOV A model with the GPA(Grade Point Average) as external reference. Main results from the year 1994 and 1995 at the Korea University are 1) HSG was the most important index and MEE was running up, and 2) 1994 SAT seemed to have no influence for future academic achievement, but 1995 SAT showed significant improvement in humanity-social science field. Among MEE sub-indices, 1) Korean with essay-writing and Second foreign language were important sub- indices for humanity-social science majors, while English and Mathematics showed no relevance, and 2) Natural science was the most important sub-index for science-engineering majors, while Korean with essay-writing, English and Mathematics showed moderate relevance.
