The coming information society will impact various sectors of the society including the educational environment. Thus, it is naturally predicted that there will be fundamental changes education also. In this article, characteristics of technology development which is the basis to make the information society come, are analyzed and the paradigm shift of education abreast the changes of society due to the technology development is introduced. Developmental characteristics of technology. particularly computers and telecomm- unication technology which are the basic two polars for the information society to come, are mobility, user friendliness, high speed, and media integration. Due to The characteristics of educational paradigm shift are changes of view point : from the system for educational supplier to the system of educational consumer, unlimited to the time and location for study, share of educational information with the vast educational consumer, embodiness of information consumer and producer, well balanced logic and emotion. Such educational paradigm shift can be facilitated by the development of educational infrastructure of information superhighway, educational software, hardware, educational information agency which will eventually lead to the changes of educational contents, methods, and system.
