영문초록

Moral education is the education of moral principles, it is because "morality is a matter of interpreting very general principles and applying them in action"(Sieber, 1980, p.135). Moral education consists of three dimensions: they are the education of 'contents', the education of 'method', and the education of 'motives', in which moral principles can be used as the contents, as the methods, and as the motives of moral education. If 'the' impartial considering of people's interests' is the proper principle of morality which can be used to resolve the conflicts of problems in the moral situations, moral education is the education of using this principle into its contents, methods, and motives. I have proposed a moral lesson's model as the follows in terms of the procedures of moral problem solvings, in which the education of 'contents', 'methods', and 'motives' can be worked together : Although this model centers on 'methods', the education of 'contents' and 'motives' can also be operated in the processes of the problem solvings. The education of 'contents' can be treated in the Ist step, the recognition of the situations and the 3rd step, the moral judgment. And the education of 'motives' can be treated in the 2nd step, the confrontation of the situations and the 4th step, moral beliefs. In the chaper Ⅲ, I proposed a moral lesson's plan. That is an example applied the theories of moral lesson's model into practice according to the model suggested in the chapter Ⅱ. I do not think the example can be a good model. It is just made as an example to show how to apply the theory into practice for referential use. Moral action is the ultimate goal of moral Education, I think. However, it is impossible to deal with 'actions' as it is in the classroom. For this reason, the task of moral education in the classroom is to develop morality into the pupils. If he has developed moralities into himself, it is possible he performs his morality in the moral situations. As I think morality is a kind of man's ability, the ability of problem solving in the moral situations, I analyzed and discussed how to develop moralities into pupils in terms of moral lessons in the classroom, using the moral lesson's model I proposed in this writings.
