영문초록

According to Dewey, we value something when we take an interest in it, prize it, or esteem it. And the other meaning of “to value” -valuation-means to judge, to appraise or to evaluat. For an example, when he takes a book, then the book must have the values which include some kind of the above meanings stated. We have many problems to be solved, but they can not be solved without activities. The strength of Dewey's education system may by paraphrased in this way no results without activity.” In order to find out the system of valuable education this paper aims to find the value structure in Dewey's education as Follows: (1) Development of his philosophy and building of a scientific Philosophy; the philosopher has the responsibility to be constantly alert to the discovery of new scientific truths and to the Development of scientific procedures. (2) Philosophical views on the theory of valuation including valuation as like or dislike and as appraisal. Constitute the activies of values as verbal or adverbal meanings. (3) Value-judgment and Truth as a moment of action are always based on the Preference of human activities. (4) The fundamental conditions of valuation; the nature of aims, thinking, interest and the continuity of ends and means, all of these are based on one basic principle. (5) Philosophy of natural experience, especially his qualitative experience and the principle of experience form an essential system within his thinking. (6) And, then, a system of education and educational values, including scientific foundations of education and the nature of educational value in volve the above principles of his Philosophy. And thus we can see Dewey's characteristics for his educational thinking.
