국문초록

본 연구에서는 영아의 기질 및 어머니 양육행동과 영아의 이해언어 및 표현언어의 관계, 그리고 영향 력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 전라북도 J시, I시, G시에 소재한 보육시설의 8～35개월 영아 387명과 어머니이다. 연구결과, 첫째, 영아의 기질은 이해언어 및 표현언어와 부적 상관이 있었다. 또한 영아의 기질 유형을 순한 기질, 까다로운 기질, 더딘 기질로 나누어 차이를 알아본 결과, 순한 기질과 더딘 기질의 영아가 까다로운 기질의 영아에 비해 이해 및 표현언어 능력이 더 높은 것으로 나 타났다. 둘째, 어머니 양육행동은 영아의 이해언어 및 표현언어와 정적 상관이 있었다. 셋째, 영아의 이해언어 및 표현언어에 대한 영아의 기질과 어머니의 양육행동의 영향력을 알아 본 결과 기질의 하위 요인인 활동성과 양육행동의 하위요인인 긍정한계선 설정 순으로 높게 나타났다.

영문초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of infants’ temperament and maternal parenting behavior on the development of infants’ receptive language and expressive language. The subjects of this study were 387 infants from 8 to 35 months old and their mothers of nursing facilities in J city, I city, and G city, Chollabukdo. The results of this study are as follows. First, infants’ temperament has significantly negative correlation with both receptive language and expressive language. After types of infants’ temperament are divided into docile, tricky, and slow, the results show that infants with docile and slow temperament have higher abilities of receptive and expressive language development than those with tricky temperament. Second, maternal parenting behavior has positive correlation with the development of receptive language and expressive language. Third, the results of the study of receptive language and expressive language based on infants’ temperament and maternal parenting behavior show in order of activeness and setting up positive limits parenting behavior. And infants’ temperament is found to influence more greatly than maternal parenting behavior.
