1990년대는 박물관의 등록조건 완화 등의 조치와 더불어 옆ß단위 이상의 지역을 중심으로 공립 및 사설 박물관 · 천시판의 건립이 크게 확산된 시기이다1) 많은 박물관들이 지역문화의 발굴과 보 존 · 연구 · 천시를 통한 정체성 확렵의 일환으로 농경자료를 수집하며 , 전시하고 있다. 한국문화는 농경문화의 전통을 근간으로 발달했다는 점에서 농경문화에 대한 전시는 곧 한국문화의 중요성과 특정을 이해하는 중요한 수단이다. 그러나 물질자료를 위주로 기능분류 혹은 농사력에 따라 간략 한 설명판을 사용한 제시형 전시가 많은 부분을 이루고 있다. 이러한 전시는 관람자에게 농경의 물질자료에 한해 제한된 정보밖에 전달할 수 없으며， 결국 지역의 문화적 특정을 충실히 알려주지 못하는 한계를 가지고 있다 천시를 통하여 지역의 문화적 특정을 보여주지 못할 때 관람자는 서로 다른 지역의 농경에 대한 전시라고 해도 비슷한 것으로 인식하게 된다 두 지역의 전시를 통하여 비슷한 정보밖에 얻을 수 없다면 관람자는 더 이상 다른 박물관의 전시에 관심을 기울이지 않을 것이다 그러으로 박물관은 무엇보다 충실한 자료조사와 수집을 통하여 지역의 농경문화가 가진 문화적 특정을 잘 드러낼 수 있는 전시주제를 설정해야 한다. 고품질의 정보(전시주제)를 생산한 뒤 그것을 ‘어떻게 전달할 것 인가( 전시수법) ’에 대한 결정을 내려야 한다 지역의 농경문화가 가진 중요성과 특정에 대한 충실한 정보를 전달하기 위해서는 그에 맞는 포 괄적이며， 정밀한 자료수집이 선행되어야 한다， 자료수집에 있어 ‘각종자료와 특정사실’ (things and facts) 과 관련된 물질적 요소는 물론 비물질적 요소를 동시에 수집해야 한다는 것은 이미 널 리 알려진 사실이다2) 그 뒤 수집자료에 대한 의미와 가치를 분석 · 해석함으로써 이를 충실히 전 달할 전시주제를 설정하고， 그에 맞는 2차원 혹은 3차원 등 전시수법을 통하여 전시가 구현되어야 한다.
This paper is about the collections and exhibitions of agricultural objects and facts in museum, and 1 had make following next four decisions. First, Museum must collect 0비 ects and agricultural system when exhibit agriculture by various and deep informations because agriculture is consequence of natural and cultural environments with techniques of cultivation which is closely connected. Second, We must organize a plan for collecting 0비 ects after collect agricultural system because unorganized collecting happens a very bad impact on agriculture and museum conservation and collection for future . Therefore. museum should have collect whole information of agricultural system beside collect objects limitedly. Third, The communication of information through exhibitions consist of two dimensions. One is section exhibitions which is concentrate an individual things and facts . and the other is context exhibitions which is concentrate on an individual cultivations of crops. In normal situation, we must exhibit section exhibitions after context exhibitions. Fourth, Museum must make a good information center of agriculture by utilizing section and context exhibitions, standing on the basis of the diachronic and synchronic approach Our next work will be test a hypothesis , and propose a develope suggestions of agricultural exhibitions in museum.
