The object of this study is to find out satisfaction and improvement demand
for guidebook being used in special education field through analysis the
recognition of special teachers on the Korean language art guidebook for
teachers targeting the first and second year students that developed in 2012
based on 2011 revised special education basic curriculum. In order to attain this
study object, the method was conducted such as questionnaire targeting 98
special teachers using textbooks for elementary first and second year students
and statistics technique using frequency analysis and t-test.
As a result of study, first, in general teachers had the positive recognitions on
the contents of guidebook's outline, the introducing parts of particulars, the
developing parts of particulars, and arranging parts of particulars, and thought
explicit system of guidebook to be proper. However, in regard to the connection
with family and life, the unit's evaluation emphasis, the teaching/learning
materials, and note of instruction, the positive opinions appeared to be low
compared to other items, therefore the complement on these parts is necessary.
Also, it was shown that the positive responses were a little low in the part of
arrangement among the parts of introduction, development, and arrangement of
particulars. Second, it was shown that most teachers were utilizing a guidebook
considerably during the class and they thought that the idea and materials on
teaching/learning activities, guidance of teaching/learning methods according to
disabilities areas, teaching/learning models, and suggesting various references
should be complemented.
