The "art education for fundamental mind" is different from the DBAE(Discipline Based Art Education), VCAE(Visual Culture Art Education), MCAE(Multi-Cultural Art Education), Art Education for life. These existing approaches for art education have pursued an art education focusing on the discipline remote from the real life or reality. However, the "art education for fundamental mind" emphasizes the role that the art education plays for the ultimate life rather than such life in reality. That requires an education for fundamental mind of human as well, which needs to have the nature of liberal arts or humanities for "developing fundamental mind." To that end, arts should be integrated with ontology and axiology. If art education is provided in association with the liberal arts or humanities, our life will be much more enriched. The art teachers should help students to think autonomously so that they can understand themselves, others and the world by integrating the art activities with ontology and axiology, ultimately become a pioneer as an autonomous human and a transformer of the society. During the process, the teachers are required to run the art class, where the art activities are integrated with ontology and axiology, in the project form and have interactions with students over discussion.
