본 논문은 플로티노스의 관심 및 철학적 사유의 목표가 무엇이었는지 밝히려 했다. ‘하나’(?ν)에 관한 그의 설명은 몇 가지 일정한 관점을 따라 분명하고도 확고하게 포착될 수 있다. 그의 표현이 우리에겐 가끔 낯설고 특이하게 비칠지라도 플로티노스는 사유전통을 따랐다. 다시 말해 최소한 파르메니데스에서 플라톤으로 이어지는 전통 아래서 ‘하나의 형이상학’이 탄생했다. 그처럼 누구보다도 플라톤을 신뢰했던 만큼, 그는 플라톤주의자다. 본 논문은 무엇보다도 엔네아데스(플로티노스의 작품)에 더 많이 집중했고, 그로써 그의 목소리 및 발췌문을 통해서 그의 의도를 드러내고 귀를 기울이게 하려고 했다. 그의 통찰은 항상 절대적이고 초월적인 존재원천인 ‘하나’에 초점을 맞추었지만, 그것은 우리의 손(영혼)이 닿지 않는 곳에 있는 것도 아니요, 그 어떤 신비로운 힘(혹은 마법)에만 의존해서 다가갈 수 있는것도 아니다. 영혼은 ‘하나’로부터 유래했고 또 항상 그 곁에 있다는 존재론적인 관점에서 “하나의 형이상학”(Henology)은 우리에게 언제든 실현 가능하다. 그렇게 자각한 영혼이 ‘하나’에게로 올라가는 것(혹은 되돌아감)이 플로티노스가 지향하는 목표다. ‘하나’와의 합일은 플로티노스의 관점에서 완전한 ‘하나-됨’을 내포한다. 그렇다면 ‘하나’ 혹은 ‘하나-됨’의 의미에 대해 먼저 물었어야 할 것 같다. 가뜩이나 다원주의(pluralism)를 표방하는 이 포스트모더니즘 시대에 말이다.
This article aimed to brighten what was Plotinus' concern or his target of thinking. His explaining of the One(?ν) lets us apprehend clearly and determinedly on several define viewpoints. His expressions appear occasionally for us as unfamiliar and unique, nevertheless he had followed the contemporary tradition of thinking. Namely, his 'Henology' came into being under the tradition which was inherited at least from Parmenides to Platon. Plotinus is so a platonist as he had adhered above all to Platon. This article focused especially on Enneades(Opera Plotini) a little more and so intended to show and direct Plotinus' idea along with his tones or extractions. His insight concentrated into the One, the absolute and transcendent origin of beings, however It is nowhere we can never touch and reach besides owing to an mystic power. Because our soul is once born of It and then stays eternally nearby It, Henology is ontologically at any time to realize on us. It is Plotinus' idea, that a self-awaked soul is so going(or returning) up to the One. Union with the One contains in sense of Plotinus the perfect unity. If so, I think, we should have before questioned what means union or unity, moreover in this Postmodern-time which adopts a platform of pluralism.
