Chinese painting is oriented not in shading based on science-like european style painting, but in philosophical principle such as principal of positive and negative and five element(one of the ancient oriental philosophical ideas), and mainly deals with men and abject. And this very characteristics made a turning point of developing this kind of drawings into pictures. Gu Kaizhi(顧愷之) and Wu Daozi(吳道子) can be said that representatives of this technique. But this two painters different to method paintings. Wu Daozi is known as the master many various techniques. But he used this methode only as one of the many painting techniques he used more precisely. He used to drawing skill when they sketched something, and this is accumulated to a perfect drawing methode. With this influence, his drawings was accumulated to especially characteristics of chinese painting. Despite of this fact, research on his works is somewhat insufficient compared with those of other artists. After this time, more and more, his study intend to deal with nature. consequently he return to nature. His paintings sufficient to nature as great artist who made a great contribution to chinese paintings. First, nature drawings attempted to approach Wu Daozi's works. mainly focusing on his unique natural drawing skill. he was an all-round painter and mastered any kind of drawings, futhermore he announced to top with nature paintings. His nature paintings was so vivid that his characters come to us as if that is real. And his accomplishments mentioned above make him of the best Tang(唐) era artists.
