By using a sample from the Korea Youth Panel Survey, conducted by the Korea Institute for Youth Development, this study analyzes the life satisfaction of primary and junior high school students. Life satisfaction means a subjective well-being or the sense of happiness in daily life. Therefore, it is to be influenced by developmental stages and life domains. This study divides the life domain of students into school, home, community, peer relations, and self-awareness, and examines how and to what degree the peculiarities of each life domain influence the life satisfaction of elementary and junior high school students. The effects were analyzed through a stepwise regression test. And in order to find out how the effects on life satisfaction differed according to the school level of the student a regression model was established separately for both elementary(n=2,565) and junior high school (n=2,872) students. The finding of this study confirmed the properties that affects life satisfaction and change in the factors that influence the life satisfaction of elementary and junior high school students.
