This study investigates the relation of the modern motherhood ideology to the early childhood education, and critically argues the woman\'s role as a mother, furthermore exposes the hidden messages and premises of that theory. Since the development of Rousseau\'s theory, a mother has been defined as a main person of ‘exclusive’ child edu-care, and has been undertook the responsibility for child edu-care, at the same time a home is \'exclusive\' place for child edu-care. The concepts such as \'attachment’, ‘bonding’, ‘motherhood deficiency’ are made out for demonstrating the absolution of the motherhood under cultural contexts and controls. The early childhood education which reduce woman to mother implicates the ideology of the modern western civil class. Consequently now motherhood concept in our consciousness is a kind of invention for ideology of specific period, specific class. Present time, women vigorously take part in the working or social activities, as a result it is regarded the child edu-care as public obligation. Therefore the reconceptualization of motherhood remain to be studied.
