사회화조건과 사회화동질집단의 연구는 계층적 그리고 초기 사회구조적 관점의 사회화연구에 대한 발 전을 모색하는 새로운 시도이다. 이 시도는 사회계층이 직접적으로 부모의 자녀양육행위를 결정한다는 계층적 관점의 사회화연구를 비판하면서 시작된다. 또한 초기 사회구조적 관점의 사회화연구는 직업경험 과 인적자본에 입각하여 부모의 지각적 의식체계형성과 자녀양육행위의 결과를 설명하고 있다. 이에 대해 새로운 시도는 부모의 다양한 사회화조건으로 경제, 사회, 문화자본을 고려함과 더불어 자 녀양육행위를 매개하는 집단으로서 부모양육의식에 근거한 사회화동질집단을 제시하고, 각각의 상이한 자녀양육행위 형태를 보여줄 수 있음을 지적하고자 한다. 즉 전형적인 3가지 사회화동질집단(개인주의, 가족주의, 전통주의)의 부모들은 자녀양육을 위해 자신들이 지향하는 의식들과 자녀양육행위에 차이를 보 여준다.
My study on conditions of socialization and sociocultural group of socialization aims to indicate an new alternative try at the class specific form of socialization and the sociostructural form of socialization. Conditions of socialization as the cause of parental consciousness and activities contain objective vertical, horizontal, human and cultural resource of social inequalities. The relationship between conditions of socialization and sociocultural group of socialization is not direct homogeneity but indirect heterogeneity. Parental educational activities are not directly determined by conditions of socialization. Conditions of socialization are, however, the basis of the parental consciousness and their communication. Sociocultural group of socialization are defines by typical syndrome of educational values, of parental communication. According to sociocultural group of socialization educational activities are variously differentiated.
