childhood practitioners striving to thrive between 2020 and 2021. Their stories offer their reflections on their challenges, struggles, and lessons learned throughout the pandemic. Findings reveal that, as time passed, there were longstanding struggles and newly emerging challenges. This study sheds light on early childhood practitioners’ experiences of teaching during the unique and uncertain time of the pandemic, which can offer in-depth understanding for the betterment of future teaching. -

The curriculum focuses on helping children make use of their time at home to experience meaningful learning with their family while understanding what is happening around them and why they need to follow a lot of rules individually, as a family, and as a community. The curriculum proposes the use of home-based learning anchored on Filipino cultural values of strong family relationship and on the philosophy of holistic learning. -

despite cultural differences. We conducted a systematic review of Chinese literature on parent involvement and analyzed underlying assumptions on rationales for parent involvement, on how parent involvement is configured, on guanxi and social inclusion, and eventually on the meaning of early childhood education. We found that while traditional important Chinese values are missing in dominant literature, there is also an increasing influence from U.S. literature on Chinese policy and practice. -
