본 연구에서는 2009 개정 중학교 1학년 과학 교과서에 반영된 4가지 과학의 본성의 분포와 과학의 본성에 대한 명 시성을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교과서 4종을 분석 대상으로 선정하였고, 교과서 단원을 단원 도입, 본문, 탐구 활동, 읽 을거리, 평가 문항의 영역으로 구분하여 분석 단위를 선정하였다.
