본 연구는 부부갈등이 아동에게 미치는 영향에 관한 국내 연구의 동향을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 1990년대에서 2009년까지의 학술지 논문 90편을 대상으로 시기별 발표현황과 방법론적 측면 및 내용적 측면에서 분석해 보았다. 그 결과, 첫째, 부부갈등관련 아동연구는 1990년대에 비해 2000년대 초반과 후반에 상당히 증가하였다. 둘째, 방법론적 측면에서 질문지법을 이용한 조사연구가 대부분이었고, 주 연구대상은 아동후기인 초등고학년이었다. 부부갈등 평가도구는 아동보고식이 가장 많이 사용되었고, 대부분의 연구에서 단일응답자를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 주요 자료분석방법은 회귀분석이었으며 경로분석과 구조방정식모형의 사용이 점차 증가하였다. 셋째, 내용적 측면에서 부부갈등이 아동의 사회정서발달, 특히 내적․외적 행동문제에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 연구가 가장 많았다. 부부갈등과 아동발달의 관계를 조절하는 변인으로는 주로 인구학적 특성이, 매개하는 변인으로는 주로 부모의 양육행동과 아동의 자아특성변인이 연구되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 부부갈등이 아동에게 미치는 영향에 대한 추후 연구의 방향을 모색해 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of current trends in research on interparental conflict in relation to child developmental outcomes in Korean journals. Ninety published studies through 1990 to 2009 were analyzed. Our results showed that the number of studies on interparental conflict in relation to child developmental outcomes increased considerably in the first decade of the 21st Century. Most studies collected data using survey-methods with child-report questionnaires primarily from elementary school children. Single method as well as single informant was used to evaluate measures in most of the studies. To answer the main research questions, regression analyses were most frequently used and structural equation modeling was frequently performed in the more recent studies. Generally, the socio-emotional domains of child development, specifically child behavioral problems, were studied in relation to interparental conflict. Demographic variables were used as moderators and parenting as well as child ego variables was tested as mediators. Future research recommendations are also discussed.
