토양으로부터 penicillinase를 강력히 분비하는 방사균속 일주를 분리한 후 본균의 형태학적 특징, 배양상 및 생리화학학적 특성을 조사하여 동정한 결과 Streptomyces bobili 내지 그 류연균으로 동정되었다.
A microorganism, YS-40 strain which powerfully produced penicillinase was isolated from soil. The morphological and cultural characteristics of the strain ; spore chain, spore surface, aerial mass color, melanoid pigment, reverse side pigment, other soluble pigment, and physiological properties were investigated. As the results of various examinations, the strain YS-40 was identified to be similar to Streptemyces bobili except the spore chain and the utilization of L-rhamnose among the various carbon sources.
