Hemangiomas of the gastrointestinal tract are rare lesions, and hemangiomas of the esophagus are extremely rare. Govoni, reviewing the literature until 1982, found only 57 cases of hemangiomas of the esophagus. We report a case of esophageal cavernous hemagioma found in a 41-year-old Korean man who had occasional dysphagia and therapeutic approach are reviewed and discussed.
