The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting durability of volunteer activity participation. Based on the reviews of literature, we identified 14 variables as independent variables which said to affect durability of volunteer activity participation. Seven of them are related to individual characteristics and rest of them are environmental factors. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 404 students and 385 were collected. From the multiple regression analysis, six factors turned out to be significantly affect durability of volunteer work participation. Those are degree of satisfaction from participation, intensity of participation, relation between participants and social workers at institution, training for volunteer work, and degree of moral sensitivity. We presented four suggestion to improve the volunteer activity participation ratio. First, role of teachers and parents are important for active participation of students. Second, students with good understanding of necessity of volunteer work is important. Thus, training program for volunteer work participants needs to be improved. Thirdly, the relationship between social workers at the institution and students needs to be well maintained. Fourth, the use of student clubs for volunteer work participation might be an effective tools for improve durability of participation.
