There have been voices raised among the academic circles that Korea is facing a crisis of economics education. Some economics professor argued that the teaching method should be reformed. Students taking economics courses need to be exposed to more of applied issues that they encounter in their everyday life. This paper is investigating an issue of whether or not a society has really met an economics education crisis. In so doing the author uses the externality criterion, and suggests a proper scheme of courses selection for students with different knowledge background.
