This study was surveyed to analyze the usage and requirements for large print textbooks used by students with low vision, targeting 180 students with low vision attending schools for the visually impaired and general schools, and 149 teachers working at schools for the visually impaired. The result is as follows. Firstly, relating to the usage for large print textbooks, currently-spread large print textbooks are not used every period, and 'Korean' among them was utilized most. Also in the size of the large print textbooks, the bigger the size was, the more uncomfortable students felt, and the rate of students reading large print textbooks with naked eyes, without using low vision aids, was the highest. Secondly, concerning the requirements on the manufacture of large print textbooks, the bigger the font size was, the more preferable elementary school students were. Secondary students with high literacy preferred 24 font size most, but in the preference for 22, 18 and 15 font sizes, there were no meaningful differences. In the preference for the letter types, 'Gothic-Extra type' showed the highest preference, but 'Malgun Gothic type' indicated the lowest misreading rate of students' group with the near vision(more than 0.1 to less than 0.3) in the reading test.
