In order to analyze causes of the patient satisfaction related with the quality and quantity of physical therapy and to know factors influencing patient satisfaction in physical therapy, we estimated the patient satisfaction with physical therapy after a traffic accident occurred in Gyeongnam province. We got the inquiry information from 132 of outpatients and inpatients at 18 hospitals and data were analyzed by Independent t-test and Repeated one way ANOVA using SPSS 12.0 program. According to this survey for the patient satisfaction with physical therapy after a car accident average grade was 3.88 in Likert-type scale and comparison items related with the patients satisfaction were divided 3 parts. First, the patient satisfaction with overall therapy service was 3.98. Second, the patient satisfaction with therapists was 4.01 and this was the highest than the other parts. Third, the patient satisfaction with equipment was 3.66 and it was the lowest than the other parts. In the comparison of the patient satisfaction with general items, the type of traffic accident and hospitalized period had statistically differences than the other items. In the factors influencing patient satisfaction in physical therapy, the patient satisfaction with therapists was higher (4.57) than the others (equipments and overall therapy service) and it had statistically differences (p>0.05). From these results, we concluded that various our efforts needed to grasp the point of the demands for increasing traffic casualties and increase steadily the patient satisfaction.
