오늘날의 한국적인 사회복지의 발전방향을 제시하려면 외국의 이론에만 의존하기 보다는 한국의 전통적 복지사상으로부터 그 예지를 찾아 논의할 필요가 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 조선왕조 후 기의 유교사상가인 윤증의 복지사상을 사회과학적인 방법으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로서, 이론적 배경 부분에서는 유교적 복지사상의 개요분석에 이어서 윤증이 살았던 시 대적 배경과 생애사 및 학문적 특성을 중심으로 분석하였다. 왜냐하면 일반적으로 역사적인 사상가 들의 이념이나 철학은 그가 살았던 시대의 정치․경제․사회․사상적 환경의 영향 및 개인적 생애사 의 산물이라고 볼 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 본론에서는 그의 학문적 특성과 상관하여 윤증의 저서 인『명제유고』에 나타난 언급에서 복지사상들을 본격적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 윤증의 복지사상은 첫째, 수기(修己)로 시작되는 복지사상, 둘째, 위민(爲民) 또는 구민(救 民)의 복지사상, 셋째, 실용적이고 합리적인 실천을 통한 복지사상, 넷째, 예방적 차원의 식량 확보와 생업보호의 복지사상 등으로 의미가 드러났다. 그 다음으로는 그의 이러한 유교적 복지사상을 현대 의 사회복지학적 관점에서 논의하는 절차를 거쳤는데, 분석된 윤증의 네 가지의 복지사상은 향후의 사회복지정책수립이나 제도형성에도 사상적인 배경으로서 충분한 시사점이 있음을 확인하였다.
To present the development of the Korea of today's social welfare needs to be found to discuss the prognosis from the traditional welfare ideology of Korea, rather than relying only on theory of foreign countries. Therefore, the present study was to explore the idea of the welfare of Yun Jeung Confucian thinkers of the late Joseon Dynasty, the social scientific method. As research methods, theoretical background section analyzes the outline of Confucian thought and then Yun Jeung welfare were mainly historical background and biographical and academic characteristics lived. The reason is that the ideology and philosophy of the historic thinkers is that they can be called political, economic and personal impact of the product life history of the social environment. And detours in earnest analyzed the welfare ideology in reference appeared in the book『Myeong-Jae Yugo』of manuscript left in his life. Analysis, welfare ideology of Yun Jeung turned out to mean. First, Welfare philosophy that starts with self-discipline, second, Welfare ideology for people or Welfare ideology of relief, third, Welfare idea of practical and rational action, Fourth, Welfare idea of food security and livelihood protection. It passed the procedures followed by these Confucian welfare to discuss his thoughts on the social welfare perspective of modern, Welfare Thought of four Yun Jeung analysis confirmed that there is sufficient background ideological implications as the future form of social welfare policies and institutions.
