The purpose of the study was to investigate the directors' perception and needs on the inclusive
education for young children with disabilities in child care centers. The study surveyed with 118 directors
of child care centers by using survey questions including the characteristics of the directors, perceptions on
inclusive education, and needs for inclusive education by the study. According to the results, the directors
showed high levels' perception on understanding and needs about inclusive education, educational effects on
inclusive education, class management on inclusive education, and management of day care centers
regarding inclusive education. Moreover, the directors believed that economical support, teacher support,
physical environment, and improvement of number of children by class were needed for more successful
inclusive education. In addition, the levels of directors' perception and needs on inclusive education were
different by the types of day care centers and experiences of training related to inclusive education.
