Yeongyeong Seowon is the first private school to have been established in Daegu area in 1565. It serves as only eduction without shrine but after it is burned and reconstructed by Imjinwaeran, shrine is built and has function of sacrificial rite. In 1613, Toegye Yi Hwang is held sacrificial rite with building shrine, and then, Hangang Jeong Gu is done in 1622, Ubok Jeong Gyeong-se is canonized in 1676. In 1635, Gyedong Jeon Gyeong-chang is canonized by making the local wise men, in 1707 Maeam Yi Suk-ryang is done. Yi Hwang makes Yi Suk-ryang establish Yeongyeong Seowon, and writes a poem of celebration by including Yeongyeong Seowon in SeowonSibyeong. Jeong Gu assists in restorative of Yeongyeong Seowon. Many confucian scholars in Daegu area become his disciple by moving lecture room near Yeongyeong Seowon. In restorative of Yeongyeong Seowon, Jeong Gyeong-se performs Daegu vice commissioner and visits Seowon. Yi Suk-ryang takes the lead in establishment of private school with Jeon Gyeong-chang from Daegu. We can see establishment of private school, restorative of it and aspect of operation through canonized objects of Yeongyeong Seowon, and at that time can know aspect that confucians and Toegye school in Daegu area is propagated in Daegu area through Jeong Gu.
