What I assumes in this paper is that for the YeonKyung-Soewon which will be rebuilt (1) there must be philosophical consideration for the way of the modern use; (2) there must be historical consideration for the matter we are trying to learn from the YeonKyung-Soewon: (3) there must be practical consideration for the Soewon’s modern functions today. These assumptions, I suggest, may be accorded to two ways for the practical use. To estimate YeonKyung-Seowon's value we must understand, not only the regional education which bases on YeonKyung-Seowon, but also the culture space for local residents through YeonKyung-Seowon. Although YeonKyung-Seowon does not have a good fine view as compared with WhaAm or DongWhaCheon, since it is a urban Seowon in Apartment Complex, YeonKyung-Seowon can create the space in which the future can go with past, education with culture. Secondly, we must now consider YeonKyung-Seowon in relation to the memorial function as its original role. Although we cannot answer absolutely the question about the range of its memorial function, YeonKyung-Seowon, I think, must be modern memorial space in which people can discourse on regional problems. Of course, to do this, there must be a detailed analysis, research promotion system, and operation formation.
