The purpose of this study is to present the contemporary needs and educational potential of universal Design into the future paradigm of education based on the universal design, education status and suggestions of domestic universities. Since the 1980s, highlighting environmentally eco-friendly design aspects, design policies and education are converted into the aspects of consumer, the environment, and the disabled, the elderly, women, etc., as well as economic aspects. Interest in universal design is spreading to elementary and secondary education. Despite the fact that academical researches are vigorously conducted, the introduction of universal design in the curriculum of universities is a very inadequate situation. Specific research on universal design is going through partial studies at the department of industrial design. The scope of this research is organized around the need for universal design, universal design education status in domestic education, educational status of universal design in universities. The universal design education of domestic and international status researched on primary and secondary education. The universal design education status and the proposal domestic universities, we proposed universal education as a specialized universal design education for creative design talents. The universal design curriculum, it is necessary to introduce a convergence curriculum subjects such as civic education for the entire undergraduate majors as well as students of design. Universal design education will play an important role in professional design education of social reducing design curriculum for humans, as well as for fostering world citizenship ethics for ‘design education for all’, beyond generations and cultures.
