The study looked at the process and its results until the community-based STEAM program
developed and applied in elementary school in Gyeonggi. The results of this study were as follows.
Students formed a more positive attitude to science through the STEAM program. Teachers
showed sympathy for the needs of the STEAM program but, at the same time, experienced a
variety of difficulties in the development and application steps. Also, both teachers and students
answered that there is also an educational effect on community-based classes. Through this study,
I hope to give suggestions on how to improve the development and application of STEAM program
in each school so that STEAM education can be ongoing.
