이 논문에서는 작도를 기본 기능으로 하여 나선을 활용한 초등수학영재 사사교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 그 적용 결과로 아 이들이 만들어낸 산출물을 분석하여 제시하였다. 이를 위해 다음의 연구 과정을 거쳤다. 먼저, 나선의 개념과 주요 특징을 여 러 문헌 검토를 통해 정리하였다. 둘째, 생활과 자연에서 나선으로 대표될 만한 사례들을 찾아보고 이를 통해 나선이 동적이며 변화하는 세계를 나타내는 기하적 표현임을 알아보도록 하였다. 셋째, 나선에 관한 다양한 작도법을 문헌 조사를 통해 알아보 았다. 넷째, 앞서 제시된 내용을 토대로 나선에 관한 수학영재교육프로그램을 개발하였다. 마지막으로, 개발한 영재교육프로그 램을 대학 부설 영재교육원의 6학년 아이들에게 적용하고 그들의 반응 중에서 주요 사례를 제시하였다. 이 프로그램을 통해 아이들은 나선에 대해 다양한 경험을 하고, 수학이 생활과 자연에 연결되어 있음을 몸소 알고 융합적인 사고를 경험할 것으로 기대되었다.
In previous study, based on related studies, it was proposed to enrich the substance than to enlarge the size for special education for the gifted. With consenting this suggestion, it was endeavored to develop substantial elementary mathematics program for the gifted. To achieve this purpose, the following items were selected. (1) Organize the concept and the characteristics of a spiral line with the review of references, (2) Analyze the meaning of a spiral line, (3) Find spiral lines in surroundings and nature as mathematical expression in the dynamic world, (4) Based on above studies, develop the education program for the gifted, (5) Apply the developed education program and analyze its result. Finally we applied this program to the 4 gifted students and analysed the results.
