본 연구는 언어 네트워크 분석을 통하여 학술지 상에 나타난 교육의 의미를 탐색하고 교육학 연구 의 주제 분야를 파악한 후 더 연구될 수 있는 교육학 주제를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 자료는 1988년부터 2013년까지 출판된 한국교육학회지, ‘교육학연구’에 나타난 제목을 대상으로 수집 하였다. 제목을 텍스트 마이닝(text mining)하여 ‘참조제목’, ‘공통키워드’, ‘34형태소공통키워드’, ‘시대 별키워드’로 분류하였으며, 교육의 의미를 파악하기 위하여 ‘공통키워드’와 ‘34형태소공통키워드’를 공분산 분석하여 네트워크 이미지로 나타냈다. 과거에 집중적으로 연구된 교육학 영역을 파악하기 위 하여, ‘참조제목’에서 ‘시대별공통키워드’를 공분산 분석하여 네트워크 이미지를 나타냈다. 더 연구될 분야는 하위네트워크와 구조적 공백의 개념을 이용하였다. 공분산 분석은 KrKwic을 사용하였으며, 네 트워크 이미지는 NetDraw를 사용하였다. 연구결과, ‘교육’은 ‘학교’ 영역과 ‘학습’ 영역의 상호작용으 로 나타난 개념체로 ‘교육 공간에서 학생이 학습하도록 환경을 조장해주는 것’으로 나타났다. 2013년 까지 활발하게 연구된 교육영역은 교육심리, 교육과정, 교육철학 등이었다. 더 연구될 주제로는 ‘학 업’, ‘성과 효능감’, ‘교육 환경 변화’, ‘이념과 사상교육’ 등이 도출되었다.
The purposes of this study are to examine the meaning of education and research domain in educational research by using semantic network analysis and to explore prospective research topics for future studies under the already studied materials. Data were collected from the titles of The Korean Educational Research Journal that were published from 1988 to 2013, and analyzed accordingly through KrKwic and NetDraw research tools. First, titles of research papers were classified into separate morphemes and analyzed through KrKwic system. Pedagogical topics then were extracted and classified from ‘reference titles’, ‘common key words’, ‘34 morpheme common key words’, and ‘key words in period’. The relations among these key words were then interpreted by their closeness centrality and betweenness centrality, subnetwork, structural hole according to NetDraw system. Research findings first showed that the term, ‘education’ was a compound word mixed with the ‘school’ domain and ‘learning’ domain. Second, such pedagogical terms that had been used extensively by 2013 were mainly from the fields of ‘educational psychology’, ‘curriculum’, and ‘educational sociology’. Third, topics such as ‘academic achievement’, ‘efficacy’, ‘educational environment changes’, or ‘ideological education’ were suggested as prospective research topics for future studies.
