이 연구는 방송통신중학교 교원의 역량을 구명하고 역량 개발을 위한 교육 요구도를 분석 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 교사 면담, 델파이 조사를 통해 방송통신중학교 교원의 역량 모델링을 실시하여 10영역 40개의 행동지표를 마련하였다. 이후 전국 방송통신중학교 교원 179명을 대상으로 보유도와 중요도를 분석한 결과, 직급별 보유도는 교육과정 개발 및 운영, 행정업무, 학교 홍보, 교원 협업, 열린 태도, 사명감, 청소년 이해 역량에 있어 관리직의 보유도가 교사보다 높았다. 중요도는 청소년 이해 역량을 제외한 모든 역량 영역에서 관리자 가 생각하는 중요도가 높았다. Borich 교육 요구도 분석 결과, 청소년 이해, 진로 및 진학지 도, 학교 홍보, 교육과정 개발 및 운영, 상담 및 생활지도 역량 순으로 방송통신중학교 교원 의 교육 요구도가 높았다. 직급별 분석 결과, 관리자와 교사 간 교육 요구도의 차이가 컸다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 방송통신중학교 설치 준비와 운영에 실질적으로 도움이 될 수 있는 역 량기반 연수프로그램 개발을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.
This study aims to analyze the educational needs of Teacher Competencies for developing open middle school teacher’s competency. In order to achieve the research goal, a survey study was conducted to measure teacher competencies at open middle school. The measurement tool was adapted from existing studies relevant to the teacher competencies for developing open middle school teacher’s competency. The tool includes 40 items on a 5-point Likert scale, measuring current performance and perceived importance as well. The Borich formula was employed for data analysis. The results indicate that the educational needs of competencies on understanding adolescents, career․educational guidance, school advertisement, school curriculum development and operation, counseling and life guidance were ranked within top five. Specifically, school curriculum development and operation, career․educational guidance, counseling and life guidance were highly ranked as common competencies across all of the principal and vice-principal. understanding adolescents, career․ educational guidance, school advertisement were highly ranked as common competencies across all of the teacher. The results of this study provide practical implications for designing educational programs for enhancing teacher competencies in successful implementation of the open middle school education.
