본 연구의 목적은 중학교 자유학기제에서 에너지 및 기후변화가 교육과정 교과목으로 정착되는 것이다. 전문가들마다 기술한 내용들이 중첩되어 정리의 필요성을 인식하여 현재까지 구안 적용된 관련 책자와 교육 프로그램을 분석하고, 발전적 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저, 에너지 및 기후변화 교육과 관련하여 개발된 교육프로그램을 분석하였다. 분석 내용을 토대로 다양한 주제를 추출하여 자유학기제에 요목을결정하게 되었다. 본 연구팀에서는 2015학년도 기후변화와 에너지 절약 관련 내용 중 수학, 체육, 기술․ 가정,진로교과 과목을 중심으로 교재를 구안 적용해 보았다. 자유학기제의 추진 방향인 학생 중심의 다양한 체험 위주의 활동 수업을 설계한 후 학생들이 에너지와 환경에 대한 심각한 문제점을 파악할 수 있게 하였다. 과제를 탐구하여 학생 스스로 프로젝트 기반의 수업 대안을 일반화 할 수 있는 자료를 개발하였고, 이를 적용한 후 학생들의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다.
The purpose of the research is to establish an education program regarding the Energy & Climate Change (ECC) in the Free Learning Semester (PLC) curriculum at junior high school. Firstly, it is necessary to recognize redundancies in the experts’ contexts and to organize the current books and programs. It is also crucial to analyze those programs and to suggest the direction for the developmental future reference. The first step is to analyze the existed education program related to the Energy & Climate Change (ECC). The various themes and the contexts for the Free Learning Semester (PLC) are constructed based on the analysis. The emphasis subjects are including Mathematics, Gymnastics, Technology and Home economics for the Energy & Climate Change (ECC) in the 2015th curriculum. The leading feature for the curriculum is to enlighten the students about the severe problems relating to the energy and the environment by initiating the student-centered experience activities. We observed shifts in attitudes of many students after applying the generalized class curriculum, which is based on the self-study project.
