본 연구는 성인교육의 평가에 대한 연구동향을 분석하는데 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 2001년부터 2016년 2월 현재까지의 성인교육 관련 학술지에 게재된 논문을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 총 84편의 논문이 연구대상으로 선정되었으며, 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구기간의 측면에서 논문을 분석 하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 다음의 연구결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 연구주제에서 가장 높은 비중을 차지하는 주제는 교육 프로그램 평가이며, 정책/사업평가, 교육기관 평가, 평가 이해관계자 연구가 그 다음 순으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 연구의 하위 주제를 분석한 결과, 평가도구/지표/준거 개발의 비중이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 평가 영향요인 분석/변인 간 관계 분석, 평가모형/체제 개발, 교육 만족도 평가, 평가 보고서 분석이 그 다음 순으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 연구방법과 관련하여 양적연 구와 문헌연구의 비중은 유사하며, 질적연구 적용 비중은 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 연구발행 연도 면에서는 2008년부터 2012년에 평가연구가 상대적으로 활성화되는 모습을 보이다가 2013 년도부터 하향되는 양상이다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 향후 연구에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다,
The purpose of the study is to review the research trends of evaluation of adult education in journal articles in Korea. The articles were searched by the word ‘evaluation’ in keyword or title among adult education related journals from 2001 to Feb. 2016. for achieving the research goal. They were analyzed in the perspective of view of research subject, method, time period. The results are as follows: First, the most frequently researched theme is education program evaluation. And then policy/business evaluation, education center evaluation, evaluation stakeholder study were followed. Second, as the result of analysis of subordinate research subject, the rate of evaluation tool/indicator/ criteria development was ranked highly. And then critical factor and relationship analysis between variables related to evaluation, evaluation model/system development, reaction evaluation, evaluation report analysis were followed. Third, regarding research methods, quantitative research method and literature review were showed as similar frequency whereas qualitative research method has low frequency. Fourth, the frequency of evaluation researches had improved from 2008 to 2012, however, it decreased from 2013. Further suggestions were proposed.
