In this study, after the learning using SATIS program and Salters program consisted by
‘Science first approach’ and ‘Application first approach’ as both STS and context based
approach, recognitions of pre-service teachers for the possibility of applying of the two
type of approaches in school were investigated. The results were in the similar level of
response for both programs. By analysis of response to method for introducing of
salters’program as application first approach, Most of respondents were prefer to use
as supportive teaching materials or teaching methodology solving the problems of the current
education. even introducing of STS programs based ‘application first approach’, the result
of response about availability of access for students and teachers suggest that it need to
prepare knowledge of many kind of applications about of pre-service teachers and teachers.
